Five Global Biennials Explore Sound, Fugitivity, Community, Photography, and Public Art in 2025

Currently, five prominent international biennials are underway in Europe and Australia. The 13th Berlin Biennale, which runs until 14 September, delves into themes of fugitivity, showcasing works such as Han Bing's 'Walking the Cabbage in Berlin' (2020/2025). In Moss, Norway, MOMENTUM 13: Between/Worlds will be available until 12 October, highlighting over 30 artists, including Natasha Barett and Christian Boltanski. The Ballarat International Foto Biennale in Australia, commencing on 23 August, presents 360 artists, featuring Campbell Addy's 'I Love Campbell' and pieces by Robert Mapplethorpe. EVA International in Limerick, Ireland, opens on 29 August, emphasizing social justice with contributions from Noor Abuarafeh. Lastly, the Folkestone Triennial in the UK is on display until 19 October, showcasing public art from 18 artists.
