Five exhibitions across four galleries to see in Naples this autumn

Naples is preparing for the 20th edition of Giornata del Contemporaneo, a national event promoted by AMACI with support from the Italian Ministry of Culture, featuring over 150 events organized by museums, foundations, and galleries. Artribune highlights a walking route connecting four nearby venues. At Casa Di Marino, Marcello Jori's retrospective "Pensiero Dipinto in Movimento Scritto" (until Nov 15, 2024) showcases his narrative works from the 1970s onward, including comics for Linus and Frigidaire, and publications by Rizzoli. Across the street, Andrea Nuovo Home Gallery presents Patrick Jacobs's first Neapolitan solo show "Psychopomp" (until Jan 15, 2025), with 25 new works including sculptures, monotypes, dioramas, and wallpapers exploring primitive human impulses. At Giosi Spazio 104, Laser (Vincenzo De Rosa) exhibits "Visioni interiori: tra caos e identità" (Oct 12–30, 2024), large canvases depicting inner conflict between order and chaos. NINA Art Gallery hosts Alessio Antonucci's "Linee" (until Nov 19, 2024) featuring watercolors and inks influenced by German Expressionism, alongside Camillo Ripaldi's video installation "Much-ology" (instant shows Oct 15 and Nov 23, 2024), a psychedelic montage of works from MANN and Museo di Capodimonte, set to music by Paolo Polcari of Alma Megretta.
