Five Comics to Read This Summer: From Davis to Debeurme

Hartley Lin's 'Come la gente normale' (Edizioni BD, Milan 2020), originally published in the US in 2018, follows legal assistant Frances Scarland in Toronto as she navigates work-life balance, contrasted with her free-spirited roommate Vicky. Dottor Pira's 'Topo e Papero fanno le avventure' (Feltrinelli Comics, Milan 2020) offers a surreal, punk-inspired take on Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. Ludovic Debeurme's 'Epiphania' (Coconino Press, Rome 2020) launches a sci-fi saga about hybrid creatures called Epiphanians, exploring themes of discrimination and violence.
