Five Artists Commemorate WWI Centenary in Trento Exhibition
A group exhibition at Palazzo delle Albere in Trento marks the centenary of the end of World War I, featuring five image professionals—four photographers and one videomaker. The artists Nausicaa Giulia Bianchi, Luciano Gaudenzio, Daniele Lira, Pierluigi Orler, and Gianluca Colla each interpret the landscapes of the former Italian-Austro-Hungarian front, a 500 km stretch from Passo del Tonale to Marmolada, now known as the Sentiero della Pace (Path of Peace). The show presents 162 works exploring memory and sacrifice, curated by Giovanna Calvenzi. In the catalog introduction, writer Paolo Rumiz evokes the lingering presence of soldiers in the landscape, urging visitors to sleep there to hear their whispers. The exhibition aims to honor the fallen and reflect on peace.
