Five Art Job Opportunities in Italy for February 2021
Artribune has compiled five job and grant opportunities for artists, curators, and cultural workers in Italy, with deadlines in January and February 2021. The Museo Novecento in Florence launches the first edition of WONDERFUL!, a prize for Italian artists and collectives under 40, offering €5,000, supported by the Municipality of Florence, MUS.E, and Publiacqua. Applications close January 21, 2021. LAS.fair, a new fair for emerging artists, will take place at Aurum in Pescara on May 28–30, 2021, accepting applications until February 7, 2021. A curatorial team of five, including Alberto Dambruoso, Giuliana Benassi, Valentino Catricalà, Manuela De Leonardis, and Maria Chiara Valacchi, will select participants. The Goethe-Institut London seeks a curatorial duo or team for PopUp Goethe Iceland, a freelance contract from March 2021 to September 2022, with applications due January 31, 2021. The French Academy in Rome – Villa Medici is selecting 16 fellows for the 2021/2022 residency season, offering 12-month residencies with a monthly grant, individual apartment, and workspace. Applications run from January 12 to February 12, 2021. Finally, Scena Unita's emergency fund for music and entertainment workers, totaling €1.2 million, provides a symbolic 13th-month payment of €1,000, managed by Fondazione Cesvi in collaboration with La Musica Che Gira and Music Innovation Hub, with patronage from the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism. Deadline is January 14, 2021.
