First monograph on feminist collective Le Nemesiache published by Mousse Publishing

publication · 2026-04-26

A groundbreaking international monograph focusing on the historic Neapolitan feminist group Le Nemesiache, established by Lina Mangiacapre, has been published. Entitled 'Le Nemesiache: Reclaiming Mythological Rituals', this bilingual book (Italian/English) is edited by Sonia D'Alto and released by Mousse Publishing. It stems from extensive research conducted during the Marea Art Project residency, which began in 2021 on the Amalfi Coast, led by art historian Imma Tralli and cultural manager Roberto Pontecorvo. Featuring archival documents, photographs, and previously unpublished materials from the Archivio Le Tre Ghinee and the Archivio Privato Lina Mangiacapre, it includes contributions from scholars and curators like Chiara Bottici and Federica Bueti. The collective, active since 1970, blended art, politics, and mythology. The book's promotional tour has commenced, with events at various venues including Villa Medici in Rome and Museo Madre in Naples.
