First EDI Global Forum for Education and Integration Held in Naples
Naples was the venue for the inaugural EDI Global Forum for Education and Integration, which took place from October 11 to 14, 2022, and was organized by Fondazione Morra Greco. The event attracted over 250 attendees representing more than 180 institutions, featuring 40 workshops and 10 keynote speakers across 10 different locations, such as Museo e Real Bosco di Capodimonte and Museo Archeologico Nazionale. Key topics included accessibility, inclusion, diversity, sustainability, well-being, and institutional frameworks. Among the workshops were sessions on using dance to bridge public-private divides and engaging migrant communities in art mediation. Project manager Alessandra Drioli, supported by Regione Campania, emphasized that this initiative, conceived before the pandemic, aims to become an annual event, broadening its reach beyond contemporary art institutions.
