Firenze Sotto Vetro: call for social-film project launched
Florentine filmmakers Pablo Benedetti and Federico Micali have launched a call for video submissions for their no-profit documentary project "Firenze Sotto Vetro." The film aims to capture life in Florence during the COVID-19 lockdown through citizen-shot footage from homes, balconies, and empty streets. The project is supported by the Municipality of Florence as an institutional partner, with collaboration from Malandrino Film, 011Films, Toscana Film Commission, cinema La Compagnia, and Lady Radio. Mayor Dario Nardella praised the initiative as a creative response to the pandemic. Submissions are open until June 26 via email, WhatsApp, Telegram, or Facebook. Any proceeds beyond production costs will be donated to organizations involved in the emergency.
