Fiorucci Opens Circolo UltraFiorucci in Milan with Thomas Jeppe Exhibition
On January 17, 2025, the Fiorucci brand inaugurated Circolo UltraFiorucci, a new cultural space in Milan at Via Lomazzo 19, housed in a former steam mill. The inaugural exhibition, MARKET, curated by the Paris-based multidisciplinary collective The Community, features Australian artist Thomas Jeppe (b. 1984) and runs until February 9. Jeppe presents paintings, photography, video, and sound installations that transform the space into an interactive experience inspired by European markets and souks. Works include the multichannel video '2am Runway,' exploring fashion rhythms between anonymity and spectacle, and new paintings from the 'Tumult' series depicting sky portions from recent news images. The soundtrack is composed by French musician Philippe Hallais, known as Low Jack. Fiorucci creative director Francesca Murri stated that Jeppe's work shares elements with the brand's creative process, offering a contemporary immersive experience through sensory memory. CEO Alessandro Pisani announced the space will soon expand into music and nightlife. The project aims to highlight the brand's values through art and innovation, bridging fashion and creativity.
