Final Weekend of 2016 Venice Architecture Biennale

architecture-design · 2026-05-05

The 2016 Venice Architecture Biennale, curated by Alejandro Aravena, concludes with a packed final weekend from November 25 to 27. Events include the presentation of "A World of Fragile Parts," a catalog for the first Special Project of the Applied Arts Pavilion, co-published by La Biennale di Venezia and the Victoria & Albert Museum London, curated by Brendan Cormier and Danielle Thom. On November 26, a posthumous book by Francesco Garofalo, curator of the Italian Pavilion at the 2008 Architecture Biennale who died this summer, will be presented at the ASAC Library in the Central Pavilion, with President Paolo Baratta attending. The highlight is the last Meeting on Architecture at the Arsenale's Teatro alle Tese, focusing on conflicts, where Baratta and Aravena will review the edition alongside participants.
