Film 'MOI 392' on Camille Claudel's tragic life premieres in Rome
The film-documentary 'MOI 392' about Camille Claudel, the talented and tormented student of Auguste Rodin, will premiere in Rome on March 11, 2023, at the Scena venue. Directed by Mario Molinari and based on a theatrical monologue by Chiara Pasetti, the project takes its title from Claudel's institutional number 392. Claudel was committed to a psychiatric hospital by her mother and brother Paul in March 1913, days after her father's death, and remained there for 30 years until her death. She was buried in a common grave with only her matriculation number on the headstone. The monologue debuted in September 2016 at the former psychiatric hospital of Quarto-Genova. Future screenings include Novara at Fondazione Faraggiana in April, and the theatrical performance 'Moi' will be staged at Fondazione Jung in Ascona on September 8.
