Film 'Cézanne et moi' Premieres in Milan

The film 'Cézanne et moi', directed by Danièle Thompson, explores the complex friendship between writer Émile Zola and painter Paul Cézanne. Both grew up in Aix-en-Provence before moving to Paris. While Zola achieved fame quickly, Cézanne retreated from the Parisian art scene to focus on painting, largely ignored by the public and peers. The film delves into their deep yet conflicted bond, marked by admiration and rivalry. It will have its Italian premiere at Cinema Oberdan in Milan from April 11 to 29, 2017, ideally linked to the exhibition 'Manet and Modern Paris' at Palazzo Reale, which features around 100 works from the Musée d'Orsay. Cinema Oberdan will also screen 'Renoir', focusing on the later years of Auguste Renoir.
