exhibition · 2026-04-26

The MUST museum in Lecce presents 'Aracne – Filo per filo, punto per punto, segno per segno', a collective exhibition exploring textile art from Arts and Crafts to contemporary Fiber Art. Curated by director Claudia Branca, the show features 30 national and international artists across generations, including Elisabeth Aro, Shoplifter, Hermann Nitsch, Claudia Losi, Vincenzo Agnetti, Alighiero Boetti, Cèsar, Maria Lai, Nicola Liberatore, Joana Vaconcelos, Franca Maranò, and Yayoi Kusama. Works include Aro's large red velvet fishing net, Shoplifter's synthetic hair installation 'Rainbow Opera', Nitsch's dripping 'Camicia rossa', and Losi's magnetic globular structure. The exhibition also references Futurism with textile reinterpretations of works by Depero and Severini from the 1970s. A scientific committee comprising Massimo Guastella, Lia De Venere, Diego Viapiana, and Gabriella Anedi collaborated with the TASC Laboratory of the University of Salento. The show runs at MUST Lecce.
