Fiammetta: Valentina Palazzari's Exhibition at Palazzo Pretorio in Certaldo

Valentina Palazzari's solo exhibition 'Fiammetta' runs from September 27, 2025 to January 26, 2026 at Palazzo Pretorio in Certaldo, Florence. The show honors Giovanni Boccaccio's muse Fiammetta on the 650th anniversary of his death. Palazzari uses humble materials like paper, sheet metal, chains, books, old chairs, and rust to evoke knowledge and the unconscious. The installation extends into the courtyard with large electric cables symbolizing Fiammetta's energy. Curated by Davide Sarchioni and organized by Exponent, the exhibition occupies the noble floor of the medieval palace, which once belonged to the Alberti counts and later served as a public building. Palazzari, known for her work at the Reggia di Caserta, continues her dialogue with Italian heritage.
