FIAC's satellite fair Officielle cancelled after two editions due to competition and location issues

festival-fair · 2026-04-20

The satellite fair Officielle, associated with FIAC in Paris, has been cancelled after only two editions, as revealed in an email to exhibitors by Jennifer Flay and Maxime Hourdequin from Reed Exhibitions. Hosted at the Cite de la Mode et du Design along the Seine's docks, the fair showcased approximately 70 emerging galleries but faced backlash due to its distance from the main event since its launch in 2014. The competition escalated with the introduction of Paris Internationale in 2015, located in a nearby old hotel particulier. Flay and Hourdequin admitted they could not establish the necessary conditions for success. This cancellation marks the third by Reed Exhibitions, following the discontinuation of Paris Photo Los Angeles and the abandonment of plans for FIAC LA. The announcement occurred on 26 February 2016.
