FIAC Expands to Petit Palais with On Site Sculpture Exhibition

festival-fair · 2026-05-05

The FIAC art fair in Paris is launching a new section called On Site, which is making its debut at the Petit Palais, right across Avenue Winston-Churchill. This exhibition features around forty sculptures that engage with the unique Belle Epoque architecture of the building, designed by Charles Girault and built in 1900 for the Exposition Universelle. Curators Lorenzo Benedetti and Christophe Leribault have organized On Site to include the Galerie Sud, Pavillon Sud, the garden, Galerie des grands formats, and the square outside the palace. This project highlights the historical significance of the site, previously home to the Palais de l'Industrie, which hosted the first Paris Exposition Universelle in 1855. Notable artists involved are Marcel Duchamp, Damien Hirst, and others. The fair runs from October 19 to 23, 2016.
