Fiac Expands to Los Angeles with 2015 Fair, Announces Paris Offshoot for 2014

Fiac, the Paris-based art fair, will launch a Los Angeles edition in April 2015, coinciding with Paris Photo LA. The new fair will be directed by Jill Silverman Van Coenegrachts, former director of Thaddeus Ropac Gallery, who will collaborate closely with Jennifer Flay, who oversees the Paris edition. In October 2014, Fiac Paris will introduce its own off-fair called (OFF)ICIELLE, featuring approximately sixty contemporary and young galleries. The announcement was made on 24 February 2014, marking a significant international expansion for the fair. This move follows the successful launch of Paris Photo LA in the previous year, positioning Fiac to tap into the growing Los Angeles art market. The dual developments highlight strategic growth both domestically and abroad, with the Los Angeles fair aiming to capitalize on the city's burgeoning art scene.
