Festival Photo Martagny 2026: 9th Edition Opens June 13 in Normandy

The 9th edition of Festival Photo Martagny will run from June 13 to August 30, 2026, in the Norman village of Martagny, France. Founded in 2018 by the association Visions d'Ailleurs, the free outdoor festival attracted over 14,000 visitors in 2025 and aims for 20,000 in 2026. Headliners include Magnum Photos member and Académie des beaux-arts artist Jean Gaumy, Italo-Peruvian Francesca Piqueras, Czech David Těšínský, Japanese Tateyuki Adachi, and French artists Vincent Binant, Olivier Muhloff, and Frédéric Grimaud. Special exhibitions include a partnership with ECPAD on the Battle of Verdun, a project by Erwan Autret with youth from the Institut médico-éducatif Bernard Laurent de Montrôty, a capsule by Xavier Lambours, and a wildlife photography trail by Frank Deschandol for families. To mark the centenary of Claude Monet's death (1926–2026), Daniel Nicolaevsky Maria will create a participatory work inspired by Impressionism using photos from locals and visitors. New in 2026: "Soirées du festival" with DJ sets, photo calls, and animations. The festival won an Étoile de l'Europe in 2023 and was named Trésor du Vexin normand in 2025.
