Festival Colofón Closes First Edition of Arte por venir in Madrid
The Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation presents Colofón, a two-day festival at Infinito Delicias in Madrid, closing the first edition of its Arte por venir grant program. Organized with program team members Ane Rodríguez Armendáriz, Soledad Gutiérrez, and Violeta Janeiro Alfageme, the event is free and open to the public. It features presentations, conversations, screenings, collective practices, and performances by the selected artists: Agnes Essonti Luque (Barcelona, 1996), Anna Moreno (Sant Feliu de Llobregat, 1984), Fermín Jiménez Landa (Pamplona, 1979), the duo Lorenzo Sandoval (Madrid, 1980) and Zineb Achoubie (Casablanca), Antoni Miralda (Tarrassa, 1942), Oficina de Investigación Documental, Oliver Laxe (Paris, 1982), and Olmo Cuña (Vigo, 1983). Their year-long projects explore historical memory, archives, collective practices, cooking as a space of knowledge, and non-Western writing forms. A collective banquet serves as a central meeting device and synthesis of research lines. Colofón also connects participants from the first and new editions of Arte por venir, fostering continuity. Rodríguez Armendáriz states: "The festival proposes a space where projects continue to happen in relation to others and the public." The foundation, created in 2010 and affiliated with Fondation de France, has operated in Spain since 2014, promoting art and food for social transformation.
