Festival Città Foresta Brings Art to Rome's Suburbs
The Festival Città Foresta – Le Cosmicomiche, organized by Latitudo Art Projects, is taking place across five neighborhoods in Rome: Labaro, Laurentino, Corviale, Tufello, and Trullo. This year marks the 100th anniversary of Italo Calvino, with the festival drawing themes from his piece 'Le Cosmicomiche.' Throughout the summer, a range of artists, including URKA, Jacopo Natoli, and Gaia Scaramella, will lead workshops. Participants can engage in making 'Personaggi Cosmici' from recycled items, playing 'Giro Cosmico' games, crafting 'Marionette Cosmiche' puppets, exploring 'Suoni Cosmici' soundscapes, and trying cyanotype photography. Additionally, VIVIAMOLAq hosts 'Arca Cosmica' workshops, while the Associazione Italiana di Medicina Forestale offers 'Passeggiate Cosmiche.' The event wraps up with 'Meet Game' by Filippo Riniolo and Julia Jenewein on October 14, 2023.
