Festa dell'Architetto 2018 Awards: Map Studio Wins Italian Architect Prize

The sixth Festa dell'Architetto took place at Ca' Giustinian in Venice over two days. This event was initiated in 2013 by CNAPPC to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the professional order, with the theme for 2018 being "Una comunità per l'Architettura." More than 400 applications were received. Dominique Perrault led the jury, which included Ilaria Marelli, Emilio Caravatti, Elisabetta Gabrielli, Alessandra Ferrari, and Paolo Raffetto. Italian President Sergio Mattarella presented the Medaglia del Presidente della Repubblica. The Premio Architetto Italiano 2018 was awarded to MAP Studio for their Tramway Terminal in Venice, finished in 2015, while Orizzontale received the Premio Giovane Talento dell'Architettura Italiana 2018 for "8 ½" in Rome. Several architects also received honorable mentions for their projects.
