Ferrier Marchetti Studio Transforms Industrial Site into Cultural Center in Limoux

Ferrier Marchetti Studio has completed the design for the Cultural Center La Tuilerie in Limoux, France, a 7,700 m² adaptive reuse project set to finish in 2026. The center will house a 2,700 m² performance hall, a 1,800 m² music conservatory, a 1,600 m² headquarters for the Communauté de Communes du Limouxin, and a 1,600 m² media library (phase 2). The project is part of a larger effort to revitalize a town that sits between urban and rural, serving a community of 30,000 inhabitants. The architects emphasize the transformation of an industrial site as a symbol of renewal for regions left behind by major economic trends. The project team includes associate architect Atelier d’Architecture Crossman, landscape architect Agence TER, acoustics by Peutz et Associés, structural engineering by C&E Ingénierie, scenography by Ducks Scénos, and site infrastructure by GAXIEU Ingénierie.
