Ferrari Luce EV: LoveFrom's radical luxury design redefines the brand

architecture-design · 2026-05-25

Ferrari has unveiled the Luce, its first pure EV, designed in collaboration with Sir Jony Ive and Marc Newson's LoveFrom. The launch took place on 25 May 2026 at Rome's Città dello Sport, designed by Santiago Calatrava, exactly 79 years after Ferrari's first race victory. The Luce is Ferrari's second four-door model and its first five-seater, featuring four electric motors, active suspension, and a 0-100 km/h time of 2.5 seconds. Priced from €550,000, it targets new buyers, with 80% of production expected to go to first-time Ferrari customers. The interior eschews touchscreens for physical controls, developed with Samsung Display, and includes a 21-speaker audio system. LoveFrom's research began in spring 2022, resulting in around 500 individual design components. The car has a range of 530 km and includes 60 new patents. Ferrari expects the Luce to appeal to a generation less concerned with heritage and more with cutting-edge luxury.
