Ferrari Hypersail debuts racing monohull livery at Milan Design Week 2026
During Milan Design Week 2026, the Ferrari Hypersail revealed the new design for its 100ft flying ocean monohull at the Ferrari Flagship Store, with a display created by the Ferrari Design Studio overlooking Piazza del Duomo. This high-performance racing yacht is the result of a partnership involving Ferrari’s engineering team, Flavio Manzoni’s design studio, and Guillaume Verdier Naval Architects. The striking livery showcases Giallo Fly yellow—a color first introduced in 1964 on the 275 GTB, inspired by Fiamma Breschi, the widow of F1 driver Luigi Musso—alongside a new grey, Grigio Hypersail, reminiscent of carbon fiber. The design draws inspiration from contemporary models like the Monza SP1/SP2 and the Le Mans-winning Hypercar 499P. Notably, the monohull features walkable solar panels for optimal sunlight capture, and its foiling capabilities are enhanced by a control system that utilizes automotive technology, powered by renewable energy sources including wind, solar, and motion. Matteo Lanzavecchia, Ferrari's head of vehicle engineering and CTO of Hypersail, highlighted the vessel's innovative scale and technology aimed at achieving superior ocean performance.
