Ferrari HC25: One-Off Spider Marks End of V8 Era with Radical Design
At the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, Ferrari's Special Projects program has introduced the HC25, a unique open-top V8 spider. Crafted by the Ferrari Design Studio led by Flavio Manzoni for a private client, this vehicle is rooted in the F8 Spider platform. It signifies the conclusion of the naturally aspirated mid-rear turbo V8 lineage while presenting a fresh design language. A prominent feature is the continuous black functional band that encompasses the midsection, incorporating air intakes and heat extraction. The exterior boasts a matte Moonlight Grey finish complemented by glossy black elements and yellow highlights. Custom headlamp units with a vertical DRL setup were created for the HC25, and the door handle is seamlessly integrated into a long, solid aluminium blade. The five-spoke wheels are adorned with diamond-finished rims and double recessed grooves, bridging Ferrari's classic spider heritage with the modern, geometric style evident in the 12Cilindri and F80.
