Ferragamo Reopens Rodeo Drive Flagship After Vincent van Duysen Redesign

The flagship store of Ferragamo on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills has reopened after a renovation spearheaded by Vincent van Duysen, now boasting the largest facade on the street. This redesign creates a residential and design-focused atmosphere, merging Florentine traditions with the glamour of Los Angeles. The facade showcases Chambolle stone adorned with an abstract engraving that pays tribute to Florentine craftsmanship. Inside, the boutique is segmented into areas for ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes, and accessories, featuring a mix of stone, plaster, glossy resin, and deep red marble, complemented by marmorino columns and bronze-framed mirrors. CEO Daniella Vitalle emphasized that the space aims to evoke a modern home, reflecting a dedication to craftsmanship and luxury. Chairman Leonardo Ferragamo remarked on the significance of Beverly Hills, where his father, Salvatore Ferragamo, opened his first store a century ago before returning to Italy after achieving fame as ‘shoemaker to the stars.’ This location is integral to the brand's history, as Salvatore's early material experiments were influenced by Hollywood prior to founding the company in Florence in 1927.
