Fendi Baguette Revived by Maria Grazia Chiuri at Milano Design Week 2026
For Milano Design Week 2026, Maria Grazia Chiuri, the newly appointed creative director at Fendi, has introduced a reimagined version of the Baguette bag, featuring a softer and more versatile design. This iconic accessory, initially created by Silvia Venturini Fendi in 1997, unexpectedly became a worldwide sensation, with more than 500 variations released in just 18 months. Chiuri's redesign includes the return of the original buckled straps and a more flexible body, enabling it to transform into an evening clutch. The bag showcases embroideries inspired by classic Baguette designs, such as mirrors and zebra beading. Following its launch at the Milan Montenapoleone flagship, 14 variations will be sold at boutiques in Shanghai IFC and New York City’s 57th Street.
