Feilden Fowles: From School Repairs to RIBA Awards

architecture-design · 2026-05-04

Feilden Fowles, an architecture firm based in London and established by Fergus Feilden (1982) and Edmund Fowles (1984), has swiftly gained recognition in the UK architectural landscape. In December 2018, they were featured in the Architects' Journal's 'People to Watch' list, followed by a nomination for the EU Mies Award and three RIBA Awards in 2019. Their journey began with a proposal for Ralph Allen School in Bath, which led to additional commissions from four other institutions across the UK. They clinched the inaugural UK Young Architect of the Year Award in 2015. Notable projects in their portfolio include a campus for Charlie Bigham's, a community farm near Waterloo Bridge, and The Weston visitor centre at Yorkshire Sculpture Park. They are currently engaged in projects at Carlisle Cathedral and for the universities of Oxford and Cambridge.
