Fedrigoni Group's Design Culture Initiatives and Pulp Magazine

publication · 2026-05-05

Fedrigoni Group, an Italian paper manufacturer operating in eleven countries, has positioned itself as a direct promoter of design culture rather than merely a meeting point for investors or head-hunter of new ideas. In 2014, it founded the quarterly magazine Pulp, first presented at Salone del Mobile in Milan. For the 2017 Design Week, Fedrigoni organized talks at Fabriano's store featuring Leonardo Sonnoli, Simon Esterson, and John Walters. Since 2015, the group has hosted Thoughts on Design talks in Glasgow, London, and Manchester. Fedrigoni also established the Fedrigoni Top Award for young talents, with entries from recognized brands and growing realities selected by an international jury. In 2017, to celebrate the award's tenth edition, Fedrigoni inaugurated a major exhibition on the award's history, Excellence on Paper, at the Museu del Disseny in Barcelona.
