Designer Federico Stefanovich has unveiled the Salina Collection, a series of sculptural lighting and furniture pieces inspired by the morphology of marine organisms. The collection uses fiberglass to create organic volumes and complex surfaces, referencing shells and carapaces, while cast bronze elements evoke skeletal forms through branching structures. 3D printing produces molds for the fiberglass, with artisanal finishing introducing controlled imperfections like trapped air bubbles and surface irregularities. Lighting pieces feature a white spherical light source at the center, referencing a pearl within an oyster. Tables explore physical tension with asymmetrical tabletops and supports counterbalanced by calculated structures. The materials are integrated without visible fasteners, with internal components locking the pieces together.
