Federica Di Pietrantonio's 'My life as yours' at The Gallery Apart

exhibition · 2026-04-27

Federica Di Pietrantonio (Rome, 1996) presents her debut solo exhibition 'My life as yours' at The Gallery Apart in Rome. The show explores digital dimensions by investigating traces of everyday reality shared on social media. Fragments of private life—landscapes, bathrooms, bedrooms—are transferred onto large canvases, enveloped in a disorienting whiteness. The simplicity of color choices and structural essentiality allow the artist to express herself with a universal terminology, aiming to draw the viewer into her orbit and offer tools for a new translation of the work. This intent is also tangible in a floor installation where two computer cases are in dialogue, 'emptied' of their primary function—a fictional mutual support, metaphor for the virtual universe coded in algorithms, in the mere attempt to make us feel less alone. The exhibition is reviewed by Valentina Muzi.
