Federal regulators issue recalls for Generac generators, Graco car seats, and Sperax walking pads sold at Walmart
In April, three product recalls were announced by federal regulators, impacting items available at Walmart and various other retailers. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a warning regarding Sperax walking pads and treadmills after receiving 201 complaints about unpredictable speed and 66 reported injuries, including one concussion. The Chinese importer, Quanzhou Wentelai, refused to assist, leading the CPSC to recommend disposal. In another case, around 149,400 Generac portable generators were recalled due to a fuel leak issue, resulting in 114 complaints but no injuries. Models affected include the GP3600 and others. Furthermore, approximately 5,126 Graco SnugRide Turn & Slide infant car seats were recalled due to a defect that could cause the carrier to detach during crashes, with Graco offering replacements.
