February 2025's Major Exhibitions Span Sharjah Biennial, Philadelphia Retrospective, and AI Art in Tokyo

The 16th Sharjah Biennial, titled 'to carry', is set to commence on 6 February and will be open until 15 June. Curated by Alia Swastika, Amal Khalaf, Megan Tamati-Quennell, Natasha Ginwala, and Zeynep Öz, the event showcases the work of over 190 artists. A film by Luke Willis Thompson, featuring Māori newscaster Oriini Kaipara, is set in the year 2040. The retrospective of Christina Ramberg at the Philadelphia Museum of Art is scheduled from 8 February to 1 June. The Hawai‘i Triennial 2025: ALOHA NŌ opens on 15 February with 49 participating artists. Shilpa Gupta's exhibition at Bikaner House will be available until 14 February, while American Photography at the Rijksmuseum is from 7 February to 9 June. Paulo Nazareth's 'Patuá/Patois' runs until 27 April, with additional exhibitions by Pap Souleye Fall, Cemile Sahin, and Machine Love debuting at the Mori Art Museum on 13 February.
