February 2023's Global Art Highlights: From Sharjah Biennial to Sonia Boyce's Golden Lion Installation
February 2023 is marked by notable art exhibitions worldwide. The Sharjah Biennial 15, which runs from 7 February to 11 June, features more than 150 artists, including John Akomfrah and Mona Hatoum, centered around the theme 'Thinking Historically in the Present.' From 4 February to 8 May, Sonia Boyce presents 'Feeling Her Way' at Turner Contemporary. Wangechi Mutu's 'Intertwined' at New Museum, open from 2 March to 4 June, showcases over 100 pieces. Feliciano Centurión's textile exhibition at NYU (6 February – 19 May) explores themes of sexuality and religion.
