Featuring's Branding for Montreal's Canal de Lachine 4.0 Blends Heritage and Innovation

architecture-design · 2026-04-28

Featuring, a design agency, has developed a branding and graphic identity for the Canal de Lachine 4.0 economic development hub in Montreal. The design incorporates a brick red color and an industrial motif to reflect the region's historical roots, complemented by a vibrant green that signifies sustainability. A flowing blue line symbolizes the Lachine Canal, bridging the past with the present and future. Modern, clean typography suggests innovation and technology. This initiative aims to draw businesses and talent from the fields of creative arts, manufacturing, and technology. The project was spearheaded by Karl-Frédéric Anctil, with Lou Tondellier overseeing art direction and motion, and Laurianne Bonnici providing consulting. The client is Ville de Montréal and PME MTL.
