Faust Fest: Torino's First Nighttime Multidisciplinary Festival
From November 1 to 4, 2018, the inaugural Faust Fest takes place on Via della Rocca in Turin, established by Gianluigi Recuperati. This multidisciplinary festival showcases six exhibitions, featuring the Dreamachine by Cerith Wyn Evans, Brion Gysin, and William Burroughs, along with displays of Xenofore shells. Contemporary thinkers will deliver lectures on the Faust myth, which Recuperati regards as a crucial modern myth for understanding existence. Since its opening in May, Faust has emerged as a welcoming space for women and girls, drawing in insomniacs and young people. During the festival, Alessandro Calabrese will rename Via della Rocca to Via Saterna. Collaborators include Henraux, Mutina, Davines, Caffè Giuliano, Ferrino Tende, and Ciam.
