Fattoria di Celle: open-air museum in Pistoia adds works by Hera Büyüktaşçiyan and Stefano Arienti

The Fattoria di Celle, home to the Gori Collection in Pistoia, Italy, has expanded with new permanent installations. Turkish artist Hera Büyüktaşçiyan created 'Echo', a fossil-like sculpture that blends into the landscape. Stefano Arienti returns after twenty years with 'Residenza a Terrarossa', a permanent installation at Cascina Terrarossa featuring reworked posters of Monet and van Gogh, photographs of the estate, and a transformed studio space. Daniele Lombardi's 'Porta Sonora: Divina.com, Paradiso' serves as the entrance to the ancient Fabroni chapel, a bronze gate that plays violin music when opened, based on his composition 'Vergine Madre' inspired by Dante. The collection, founded by Giuliano Gori in 1982, is a free open-air museum spanning thirty hectares. Gori describes it as an 'always active interdisciplinary laboratory' encompassing sculpture, painting, music, and theater. The estate has hosted premieres by Luciano Berio and performances by Marc Chagall. Preparations are underway for Pistoia as Italian Capital of Culture 2017.
