Fattobene pop-up at Triennale Milano sells anonymous design classics
Until December 31, 2024, the Electa bookshop at Triennale Milano hosts a show-market by Fattobene, a project founded by journalist Anna Lagorio and photographer Alex Carnevali. Fattobene revives everyday Italian design masterpieces, inspired by Bruno Munari's call for a 'Compasso d'Oro to the unknown.' Items include Coccoina glue and Zenith 548 stapler by Aldo Balma (1927, 1948), Tassotti notebooks using Remondini archive graphics (rediscovered 1957), Leone clips and pins (Annone Brianza, 1850), Cinghiale brushes (Cicognara, 1945) with a limited edition honoring founder Alfredo, Toscanini clothes racks (Borgosesia, 1920, produced for Rinascente in the 1950s), and Blu Ponti tiles by Gio Ponti, now exclusively produced by Ceramica di Vietri Francesco De Maio. Each object is contextualized with books on industrial and territorial stories.
