Fashion weeks go digital as coronavirus reshapes global calendar
The fashion show schedule has been significantly altered due to the coronavirus pandemic, prompting a move towards online presentations. The British Fashion Council has declared a digital men’s fashion week set for June 12-14. Burberry has postponed its spring/summer 2020 line to September. Meanwhile, the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode has organized a digital haute couture week from July 6-8. In January, Giorgio Armani will conduct a physical show in Milan. Digital men’s collections will take place from July 9-14, with Hermès showcasing its spring 2021 collection on July 5. Milan Fashion Week Digital is scheduled for July 14-17, featuring Dolce & Gabbana on July 15. Copenhagen Fashion Week is from August 9-12, and Stockholm’s event is August 26-28. Off-White’s Virgil Abloh has announced no shows until 2021.
