Fashion curator and Horse Hospital founder Roger K. Burton dies at 75

Roger K. Burton, a prominent fashion curator and the creator of The Horse Hospital in London, has sadly died. He originally came from the Mod scene and was known for his unique clothing designs for the 1978 film Quadrophenia. In 1979, he collaborated with Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McLaren to design for their store, Worlds End, which replaced the punk shop Sex. By 1981, he was also involved in directing art for their Nostalgia of Mud collection. His impressive Contemporary Wardrobe Collection, housed in Bloomsbury and containing 20,000 pieces, inspired various exhibitions, such as The In Crowd at Brighton Museum. Founded in 1992, The Horse Hospital hosted notable artists and events, including the Fashion in Film Festival.
