Farsettiarte Opens New Cultural Hub in Former Cortina Cable Car Station
Established in 1955 by Frediano and Franco Farsetti in Prato, Farsettiarte has inaugurated a new gallery in Cortina d'Ampezzo, situated in the former Belvedere-Pocol cable car station acquired in 2001. The renovation, designed by architect Federico Farsetti, incorporates expansive glass windows that merge the interior with the stunning Dolomite scenery. The gallery's opening on January 30 featured '50 opere da collezione,' highlighting pieces from Italian Novecento masters alongside international modern artists. This event coincided with the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships, during which CONI introduced the 'Casa Italia Collection – FISI' at Pizzeria 5 Torri. Farsettiarte's legacy includes a Casa d'Aste (1962), a previous location in Cortina (1964–2020), and a Milan branch (1982).
