Farnesina Launches 'Music & The Cities' Podcast on Italian Music Scenes

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, known as Farnesina, has launched a podcast series entitled 'Music & The Cities' through its new platform, Italiana, aimed at showcasing modern Italian creativity internationally. Raffaele Costantino, a radio host and producer, has been tasked with this project. The series features seven episodes, each focusing on a unique Italian city: Bologna, Rome, Lecce, Turin, Naples, Palermo, and Milan. Local musicians such as Meg, Max Casacci (Subsonica), Piotta, and others delve into the music culture of their cities, sharing personal anecdotes and audio recordings. Additionally, writers like Marta Barone and Michele Dalai contribute their insights. The recordings were made at Studio 33 in Rome, established by Enzo Abbate, who highlights the podcast industry's growth alongside major platforms like Google and Spotify. The series can be accessed on Spreaker, Spotify, YouTube, and the Italiana portal.
