Farm Cultural Park Founders Featured on Artribune Podcast
The Artribune podcast series Contemporaneamente features Andrea Bartoli and Florinda Saieva, founders of Farm Cultural Park in Favara, Sicily. The independent cultural center began with the renovation of seven courtyards in the small Sicilian town. Bartoli, a notary, and Saieva, a lawyer, launched the project to raise their daughters in a stimulating environment and to engage the local community. Farm Cultural Park hosts Project Rooms, workshops, and educational programs involving international figures from art, architecture, design, and cuisine. In 2018, the center and its founders were guests of the U.S. Department of State in Washington, Pittsburgh, and Detroit as part of the International Visitor Leadership Program on urban regeneration. Farm Cultural Park participated in the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2012 and 2016 and has been featured in The Guardian, Vogue, and Domus. In 2019, Bartoli was an Inspirational Speaker at the Dublin Global Platform and UNESCO in Meishan, China. In 2020, he attended the World Urban Forum 10 in Abu Dhabi. In March 2021, the Seoul Metropolitan Government and Seoul Design Foundation awarded Farm Cultural Park the Human City Design Prize for fostering a harmonious relationship between people and the environment.
