Faraone Casa d'Aste Launches Continuous Online Auctions
Faraone Casa d'Aste, a Milanese auction house specializing in jewelry, is launching a series of 16 consecutive timed online auctions starting February 2020. The new service complements its two traditional physical auctions held in May and November. The timed auctions will run for approximately 15 days each, covering themes such as jewelry, watches, silver, branded accessories, and design pieces. The first auction, themed "The Golden Age," runs from February 6 to 16, followed immediately by a watch-themed auction on February 17. CEO Vittoria Bianchi stated that the initiative aims to accommodate lower-value lots that previously could not be included in physical catalogs, attract a web-savvy audience, and shorten realization times. Lots will be viewable at the showroom on Via Montenapoleone 9 in Milan. The company closed 2019 successfully, selling over 70% of more than 330 lots for a total of over €1.3 million.
