Farah Al Qasimi's Decade-Long Practice Surveyed in Dubai

General Behaviour, a solo exhibition at Canvas in Dubai, presents US-based Emirati artist Farah Al Qasimi's photographic and video works from 2012 to 2021. The show is arranged chronologically across four sections: The World Is Sinking; Bodies and Spectre; May's Blue Eye; and Trompe L'Oeil. It also screens her videos Alone in a Crowd and Dream Soup. The exhibition explores multiculturalism and consumer culture in the UAE, challenging perceptions of reality and the intimacy of public versus private spaces.
