FantaSanremoMusei: Second Edition Brings Italian Museums Together Through Music and Art

digital · 2026-04-27

The FantaSanremoMusei game, now in its second edition, has wrapped up. This engaging challenge invited participants to create teams of five artworks from the permanent collection of Empoli Musei and link them to songs from previous Sanremo Festivals. Initiated by social media managers Elisa Calcinari and Francesca Corba, it evolved from a lighthearted social media feature into a means of promoting cultural heritage. The initiative was spread through word-of-mouth, without any paid advertising, and involved around thirty museums from regions including Tuscany, Marche, Umbria, Veneto, Lombardy, and Calabria. Casa Raffaello in Urbino emerged as the winner for the second year in a row, while special prizes went to Museo Diocesano e cripta di San Rufino, Museo archeologico statale di Ascoli Piceno, and Palazzo Ducale di Mantova. Organizers aim to assess this edition and prepare for 2025, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between museums, art, and music to foster emotional connections. The interview was conducted by Annalisa Trasatti.
