Fann À Porter Opens Group Show 'Printed Matter' with Interactive Sound Piece
Fann À Porter showcases 'Printed Matter,' a collective exhibition featuring mixed media and photography by El3attar Film Collective, Cynthia Zahar, Georges Yammine, and Mohammad Al Hawajri. This exhibition delves into the concepts of memory, war, and transformation through the reconfiguration of found objects. During the opening, producer Aoun unveiled an interactive piece, inviting guests to share memories into a microphone, which were then transformed into a generative sound composition. The El3attar Film Collective's 'Face of Solidarity' series pays tribute to Palestinian heritage through portraiture. Zahar’s 'Shuhud' combines travel documents and objects as temporal witnesses. Yammine’s macrophotography captures stray bullets, while Al Hawajri employs the cactus to symbolize resilience. Founder Ghada Kunash emphasized the exhibition's aim to present varied interpretations of images, sounds, and materials.
