Fallingwater Builder's Own Modernist Compound Lynn Hall Lists for $2.75M
Lynn Hall, the modernist compound built by Walter J. Hall—the builder who helped realize Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater—has been listed for $2.75 million in Pennsylvania. Constructed in 1935 on eight acres above the Allegheny River Valley, the terraced residence features rough-cut stone, natural light, and flat cantilevered rooflines. Hall and his wife Beda envisioned it as a country inn and home, but she died as ground broke; Hall completed it as a personal hideaway. The property later passed to his son, architect Raymond Viner Hall, who added an architect's suite in 1939 and a Usonian apartment in the 1940s. After falling into disrepair, it was purchased in 2013 by Gary Devore, then sold in February 2017 for $250,000 to Adam Grant and Rick Sparkes, who invested $1.5 million in restoration. The listing agent is Cass Zielinski of Piatt Sotheby's International Realty.
