Fall Season at Galeries Louise Weiss: Curves and Connections
The gallery season of fall 2005 in the Louise Weiss area of Paris showcased exhibitions centered around themes of curves and connections. A retrospective of Roger Tallon's creations, including his "modules 400" chairs, was presented by Jousse entreprise. Galerie Kreo featured Hella Jongerius, who displayed distinctive pieces merging antique furniture with bold colors. At Galerie In situ, Andrea Blum's office furniture fused art with design. Sculptures by Mark Handforth and Roman Signer examined the concept of perpetual motion. Sam Durant's show at Galerie Praz-Delavallade connected a chair belonging to a Black Panther leader with protest shields. Connections were further emphasized through Tallon's Système 3 T tableware, Subodh Gupta's "Sister," Joseph Grigely's pieces, and Clarisse Hahn's film "Les Protestants." This season spanned from September 10 to October 29, 2005.
