Fakear's 'Palace of Time' samples Versailles clocks for electronic track

festival-fair · 2026-04-27

French electronic musician Fakear has released 'Palace of Time', a track built from recordings of the numerous clocks at the Palace of Versailles. The artist spent several days capturing sounds from pendulum clocks, alarm clocks, and table clocks, blending them with his signature oriental-inspired rhythms. The music video shows aerial views of Versailles, interior details, garden light effects, and even the palace's water conduits. This release precedes the return of the 'Versailles Electro' event, originally held in June 2019, which was postponed due to the pandemic and is now scheduled for Saturday, May 28, 2022. The lineup includes L'Impératrice, Kittin, Busy P, and closing act Justice, performing on the Terraces below the Hall of Mirrors.
